I missed my connecting train in New Haven because one of the clocks was not set to the new standardized time.
Grandfather didn't talk much, and spoke civilly when he did. Grandmother Annie tried to smooth things out between us, explaining to me his ways. She also told me some things about my father.
When my grandfather died in 1887 he left me his diaries, from which I learned more about the paternal side of my family.
